Tengo una pregunta.
Las palabras que se les coloca el sufijo ito, ita (Correita, Llavesita, Telefonito) ¿Cómo se coloca en inglés?

i´m almost sure that you could say: "little phone" for example. Because is the diminutive of the object in matter. "little key" etc. Correct me if I'm wrong

Efectivamente: el inglés no añade sufijos para indicar tamaño (ni "llavecita" ni "macetón"), simplemente usa adjetivos para ello: litte key, big pot.

yes, but that's the thing, you can't do it to every word, and it has a very informal use (like "telefonito" o "correíta"), like "thingy" xD you wouldn't normally use them in written English for compositions o the kind of English they'll be asked in exams. So I'd rather they learned to use "little" instead

(and "phoney" also means something fake, that's probably the meaning they will be learning in the level of English they are studying)

I've just thought of another suffix for diminutives: pig piglet, but then again you can't really use them with every word, so it's safer to use "little". It's more a matter of spotting it when you see it so you know what i means, rather than trying to form words with it.
