The activities use the -ing form:
I like/love/hate/prefer/ writing/painting/cooking/playing videogames...

Exacto. La única excepción a esto es si el verbo principal se usa en condicional:
I would love to write a science*-fiction book
I would hate not to find a job this year.

And if there is a preposition before the verb, we will use the -inf form too.

excepto si la preposición es "to": I want to go to the cinema. (a no ser que sea la expresión: "look forward to" que sí lleva -ing detrás: "I look forward to hearing from you soon" - típica expresión de despedida en carta formal)

Also, we use the -ing form with the orders:
Stop smoking!

cuidado con el verbo "stop" que, al igual que "start" (que ya he explicado más atrás) (o los verbos "try", "remember", "forget", "need") pueden llevar detrás -ing o infinitivo con to, y cambiará el significado:
I stopped smoking 5 years ago (dejé de fumar hace 5 años)
I stopped to smoke a cigarrete (paré algo que estaba haciendo para ponerme a fumar)

Lo cierto es que de forma inconsciente no uso -ing con el auxiliar would. Es decir, son esas cosas del inglés que escribo bien pero no me preguntes cómo lo hago..., se te quedan grabadas en la memoria y no sabes cómo llegó a parar ahí. xD

Si recuerdo bien, "look forward to" significa "esperar con ganas" o "esperar" algo. Al actuar como una única forma verbal el "to" no interfiere a la hora de añadir -ing.

Sobre el verbo stop y otros similares de orden, también conocía esas reglas. El stop puede significar esas dos cosas, y remember puede significar "recordar haber hecho algo" (I don't remember repairing the washing machine) si el verbo siguiente lleva -ing, y también "recordar hacer algo" si lleva "to" (Remember to update The Sims 3 )

Algo similar para el verbo forget.

Ains, esas cosas las dí a principio de curso el año pasado. Algo se me ha quedado y otras cosas necesitan urgentemente un buen repaso. ¡Pero lo mejor es que nunca me aburriré con el inglés, me encanta!

eso es lo que tiene el practicar mucho, finalmente las cosas te salen solas. Te acostumbras a oirlas de cierta manera, de modo que si las intentas usar de otra forma no suenan bien.

Estos días hemos hecho un exámen de Selectividad en clase a modo de ficha de ejercicios.

La PAU (Prueba de Acceso a la Universidad) de Andalucía para el Inglés me asusta de lo FÁCIL que és.

Hoy comenzamos a preparar el ejercicio de redacción de un texto argumentativo (A for and against essay), preparando la estructura y el borrador sobre el cual hacer todas las modificaciones pertinentes.

Como traje el mío de casa estuve toda la hora ayudando a mis amigos a corregir sus borradores, cosa que también me ayuda a reforzar. Algunos tenían errores que he visto aquí y que inmediatamente los identifiqué.

Me decían que era "muy buen profesor"

Por ejemplo, escribían los adjetivos en PLURAL. There are differents traditions from the U.K.
Un ejemplo de lo que te comenté. No le voy a dar una explicación a lo que hago, simplemente no escribiré nunca un adjetivo en inglés en plural, se me ha quedado grabado en la memoria y punto.

También encontré errores de la forma -ing e infinitivos.

El mayor problema es que cuándo estas aprendiendo inglés, quieres pensar en español; por eso la gente pone las S en los adjetivos... you only need live English.

No se si conocéis el concepto de "false friends": son palabras que se parecen a otras en tu lengua materna, pero en realidad significan otra cosa. Ese es el caso con "notice" (que por cierto se la han saltado en este recuadro xD). "Notice" no es noticia, sino un aviso, por ejemplo, lo que cuelgan en el ascensor cuando no funciona xD: "Notice: this lift is out of order. Sorry for the inconvenience". O en una tienda que cierran de vacaciones: "Notice: We will be closed for holidays from 1st August till 31st August".
Noticia en inglés es "news". "News" es una palabra un pelín complicadilla, porque se escribe en plural pero es un incontable, lo que hay que tener en cuenta para la construcción con adjetivos. Para usarla en singular se suele usar con "piece of". Así pues lo que quieres decir sería:
"Today I've received a nice piece of news".

Oh, this makes me laugh...My English teacher (of the high school) usually calls these words "false friends" too. And, about the word "constipated"...When my high school went to a exchange to France, a friend told a french: "Je suis constipée!". And the french was very surprised and started to laugh! In English and French this word has the same meaning, although in Spanish not, that's the problem. xDD

And...about my English...In my academy I'm studying to the FIRST (I passed the PET last june), and I'm very nervous, 'cause it has a lot of difference between him and the PET. I'm going to try to do my best in the examen and practice and do homework for improve my English...I needed the PET to can have the college dregee, and the FIRST to have the segurity of I will have a 10 in the PAU, which it's a very important issue, I think.

I would be very pleased if someone tells me my mistakes in this text I have just written to get improving.

My English teacher at high school - habías puesto la preposición incorrecta.

Aunque suene más o menos bien en español (mi instituto fue a Francia), en inglés la construcción queda un poco rara. Mejor hubiera sido: "When the students of my high school went to France"

"French" (por cierto, en mayúscula siempre, como el resto de nacionalidades e idiomas) se usa como sustantivo solo para el lenguaje (I study French) o en plural generalizando (The French usually cook with butter). Cuando hablas de una persona en particular, úsalo como adjetivo, por tanto necesita un sustantivo: "A friend told a French man/kid/woman".

La construcción no es correcta, podrías haber elegido: "I'm preparing the FIRST exam", o "I'm studying towards the FIRST exam", o "I'm studying in order to take the FIRST exam"

"do homework to improve" - recordad que ese "para" de finalidad español nunca es "for", sino "to".

"can" es la forma para presente simple. Si necesitas usar el verbo en infinitivo, sería "be able to". Aunque en realidad yo sustituiría la construcción entera por "obtain" o incluso "get": "I needed the PET (in order to) get my college degree" (te he puesto el "in order to" entre paréntesis porque es optativo, a mí simplemente me gusta más )

and the FIRST to have the segurity of I will have a 10 in the PAU

"be sure of" o "to have the security of" sí lleva la preposición "of" siempre y cuando lleve un sustantivo detrás (o una forma verbal sustantiva, como un -ing). Pero si introduces una subordinada, necesitas el "that". También tenemos la idea de "finalidad" en esta frase. Así que para comunicar todo esto te dejo un par de opciones:
"and the FIRST so that I can be sure of getting a 10 in the PAU"
"and the FIRST to be certain/sure that I can get a 10 in the PAU!

"going outside" es salir, pero salir literalmente de un sitio, o sea, de dentro a fuera xD ese "salir" de salir a dar una vuelta, o por ahí, quedar con tus amigos, etc. es simplemente "going out". Y "beeing", o es una errata o lo tienes mal, ya que solo lleva una "e": "being"
